Doom Mavis Ikyaator is a graduate of BSc. Chemistry and also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management; Post Graduate Diploma in Education.
She works to promote the rights and empowerment of the girl child. She is currently the Executive Director of Global Initiative for Girls’ Rights Education and Empowerment (GIGREE) and oversees the management and project(s) implementation of the organization.
She has over seven (7) years of experience in development work and field experience; project management and programming. She has in depth knowledge on the issues of gender and governance. She is a skilled facilitator and trainer.
She has implemented activities on projects that promote Girl Child Education; Maternal Health; Governance; Women Peace and Security. Due to her passion as a development worker and her background in the Sciences, Doom promotes Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) among young girls of all ages and backgrounds.
She promotes the well-being of especially girls, women, youth, people living with disabilities and other vulnerable groups within the society.
In addition to her position as the Executive Director of GIGREE, Doom is also the Project Manager for greenlight for girls (g4g) in Nigeria.
